ELECTION and Much More!

APRIL 2 - FINAL DAY TO REQUEST!

Election - April 7

Thank you to all of our municipal clerks who have been working diligently to establish a safe environment for voters and pollworkers. It is encouraging to see the creative effort of these local officials. WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!

Absentee voting is still a great option. Take the time to request your ballot via MY VOTE today! Click "Vote Absentee" (instructions)

The Village of Wind Point E-News, my voting precinct, arrived yesterday outlining the election process they will follow. Excellent information, so let me restate some of the guidance they provided.

  • Voters who are unable to enter the building to vote will be allowed the option of curb-side voting

  • Tape will be placed on the floor 6 feet apart to show voters where to stand to maintain social distancing

  • Voters will be provided a sanitized pen upon entering the polls

  • Have your ID ready - place it on the table for examination by a pollworker - when your name has been found on the rolls the book will be slid to the edge of the table for you to approach and sign

  • Mark your ballot and place into the tabulator then return your pen to a pollworker for it to be sanitized for the next voter.

Consider voting during off peak times to avoid a crowd in line. Peak times in the morning between 7:00 am and 9:00 am and the evening between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.

Consider an alternative to bringing children along to vote

Consider coming to the polls alone to limit the number of people in line at any given time.

We're ALL In This Together
